At times like this we all need our Jewish communities more than ever, and I look forward to seeing many of you on Zoom with us. I'm sure most of you have been voraciously consuming news and stories from Israel for the past two weeks as I have. I wanted to share some particularly powerful reflections from two parents of current Yavneh campers, Ilana Kurshan and Dr. Yehuda Kurtzer. These eloquent and heart-wrenching pieces reflect their personal experiences and perspectives, which may differ from yours. But Ilana's words give us beautiful and tangible first-hand looks at what many of our campers and their families are experiencing right now. And Yehuda's article presents a painful yet persuasive opinion on how those of us outside of Israel can, and perhaps should, respond.
